Product Description

Endeavor 90 (I, II, and III)

The Endeavor 90 offers unparalleled flexibility and capability in peptide synthesis. These instruments function as a fully automated peptide synthesizer, while also offering the user complete control of the synthesis. Solid phase peptide and organic chemistry reactions, including Boc and Fmoc chemistries, are easy and cost effective with the Endeavor 90.

Dual reactors allow simultaneous synthesis of two compounds with different chemistries in vessel sizes up to 50ml, and permit easy scale-up with interchangeable vessel sizes up to 2L. Endeavor 90-I comes as standard with two 25ml reaction vessels, but larger vessels are available for easy scale up. The Endeavor 90-II is a more easily customizable model, and reactor vessels up to 2L are available for synthesis.

Solvent is delivered to reaction vessels under nitrogen pressure, regulated to 10psi, to create a totally inert environment - allowing all types of reactions, including the more difficult synthesis using air- and water-sensitive reagents, to be performed. Solvent is delivered either from the top or the bottom of the reaction vessel. All glass and Teflon reactor vessels are pre-silanized to prevent resin from sticking to the reactor walls which can lead to deletion. This makes sure each synthesis produces the highest quality pure product.

Reagent mixing in the reaction vessel is achieved by one of three optional mixing settings: nitrogen bubbling from the bottle of the vessel, variable speed wrist-action shaking, or a combination of both. The rate of bubbling and the speed of shaking can both be manually altered by the simple turn of a dial for homogeneous agitation and optimum synthesis conditions. In addition, magnetic stir bars are available for the larger size reaction vessels to ensure consistent and reproducible synthesis at larger scales.

Four amino acid vessels are provided in the Endeavor 90-I (4 x 90ml) and Endeavor 90-II (4 x 250ml), in which the amino acids are stored. These vessels are reusable, and can hold either solid powder or liquid amino acid preparations - solid amino acids can be automatically dissolved in the required solvent as part of the synthesis protocol. During synthesis, these vials can be changed and refilled with additional amino acids, giving you maximum flexibility and control to your synthesis. In addition, the amino acids can be pre-activated in these vessels, adding extra speed to your synthesis.

The Endeavor 90 software was designed by chemists for chemists, and contains easy to use drag and drop programming features. Synthesis progression is displayed on screen in color-coded sections for quick and easy visual reference. As well as permitting the easy creation of custom protocols, the software contains pre-programmed optimized standard protocols for both Boc and Fmoc chemistry.

The Endeavor is a reliable and robust instrument that enables cost-effective usage of bulk reagents for the synthesis of high quality peptides. This appliance provides variability in scale of synthesis, sophisticated capabilities at an affordable price and reproducible high standards of performance in a single tabletop unit.
